    Hey guys,
Friday the 18th oct my son was headed to work early in morn and sitting at the light on rt 5 hwy. It turned green and a driver blew thru the light and my son saw her but after she passed he did not see the ford f150 crew cab heading down behind her. He pulled out and the truck struck our son in his honda civic at 65 mph
Needless to say it totaled both vehicles.
Gods grace and blessing prevailed and my son and the offending person are ok.
He had 3 fractures in his pelvis and a broken collarbone w multiple contusions. We spent 6 days in trauma unit Washington hospital center in dc for him to recover. He needs help getting up and moving around but hes alive thank the lord. The other driver has hand injury but hes ok. I forgive him but he almost killed our child because he wasn't paying attention and ran the light.
Pt for 6 weeks but no surgery needed.
    It's a miracle.
Below are pics of the vehicles involved.

That certainly is a miracle. Glad your son is doing better than can be expected. Thank God for airbags and big favors. He was certainly watching that day.

    Wow, thank God he's OK....

Prayers for a speedy recovery, definitely count yours (and his) blessings.

And good on you for forgiving the other driver.......that'd be very hard to do, but that's what the Lord expects of us.....

Wow. Glad to hear he’s going to be fine. Every parents worse nightmare is getting that call. It could have easily been tragic.

Didn’t catch his name oakman but tell him to get well soon from the FHC family!

Ouch, Glad your son is okay. Air bags are amazing things. At first i thought he had the truck, and once I knew he was okay I was going to ask if he lost any wood....Not making light of the situation as I am glad he is okay, but I had to pull in the wood comment somehow. Good luck and hope he heals quickly.

Very blessed to be alive. Hopefully he will mend with no lasting problems and put it all behind him! You are a better man than I for forgiving so freely!

If you only posted a picture of the Civic, I would have guessed that the driver had perished for sure. So glad to hear your son is alive and in the road to recovery! Amazing - he has something important to do with his life I think!
