Got into some nice oak this weekend, and broke out the orange mail to get it quartered.

62 degrees here when I started working! Some rot near top but good stuff for quite a ways 5948CE4C-45E3-422A-8B9F-6ABFDA7CEE0F.jpeg

Definitely some good firewood. Should make for a pretty good haul also it is still pretty warm there. I have not seen 62 since Oct.

Nice firewood, in a few years.

The majority of what I burn is red oak.

    Hoard on!

That is some nice wood! Is it red oak? I been getting red oak out of the woods on my place and splitting, what great wood it is! It's been down for over five years! Just the sapwood is no good, rest is terrific.
