They're still not sure but we'll find out more tonight or tomorrow. http://www.accuweather.com/en/weath...rn-late-weekend-early-next-week/2430839568001
Yep, this one looks ugly so far.-at least for Indiana. I personally hope it goes south. As it stands, they are calling for over an inch of ice alone on top of a decent amout of snow. Im so tired of plowing this crap. We are now over double our average annual snowfall with another long month to go.
Not much snow or plowing going on this year in our area, we do have a chit load of ice. I hope that forecast for ice is wrong, a week back they called for over .25 of ice, by the time that day arrived they called for none.
Yeah I saw that in out 7 day forecast we are supposed to get hit with another ice storm. I am super excited and can't wait for it
We are just back in the deep freeze of the polar vortex here. Supposed to be 0 degrees even on March 1.
We got a dusting late yesterday afternoon. It would not have been bad except for all the ice. A sheet of ice then a dust of snow really makes for super duper slippery. Sure would love to see about 5 days of 50 degrees.
Possible nor'easter for Sunday into Monday local news is saying. Our temps at or below freezing should make things interesting. Planning a day ride at Dixon Miller Dcnr Saturday. Light snow all day should make for a sweet ride.
We have a chit load of cold coming this way, these are windchill readings. Tonight / - 14 Thursday / - 23 Friday / - 10 Saturday / -21 Sunday / - 17 Monday / -11 Tuesday / - 14 This will eat into the wood inventory.
eastcoastweatherworks.com has been dead on all winter with snow totals. http://www.eastcoastweatherworks.com/current-snowfall-forecast/
Until the next update, it looks like were out of the mess. http://www.accuweather.com/en/weath...coming-to-midwest-and-northeast/2430839568001
Another update, they still are not sure of the extract. http://www.accuweather.com/en/weath...coming-to-midwest-and-northeast/2430839568001
Its been a weird precipitation year for sure. Overall though, even though its been a really cold winter, the entire globe is warmer than average this year, says a weather guy on TWC. Who knows. Snows coming I predict up your way.
it's funny because we are right smack dab in the middle of the 6" swath, but our weatherman is STILL saying freezing rain for the weekend.... He's been wrong most all season. I know if I was that bad at my job, I'd have been fired YEARS ago....
They changed our forecast to ice pellets and wintery mix. That should mean 18-24" of powder by Tuesday morning.
The update is all snow for Monday. 8-12" total, with 1-3" additional on Sunday and Tuesday. I'm sure it'll change again.
Just because they've been wrong on the snow totals for our area this winter, we'll get less than the forecast. The heavier snow this year has stayed southeast of us, we'll see if this storm does the same. I'll wait for Rayno's update.
http://www.accuweather.com/en/weath...rm-midwest-to/2430839568001?channel=top_story It seems this winter the european model has been better for tracking the storms, we might not get hit that bad.
