Over the past week came across a couple of small scores on my way to work. The first looks to be some type of cherry, into the truck it went. A day later I see a bunch of 4x4's in decent condition, figured they'd make some great racks. And just yesterday around the corner from me I found a couple of rounds that I was able to lift into the truck. Looks like it was left and already picked over but I'll take it. Not sure what type of wood (last 2 pics) it is though, any thoughts?

Very nice, I wish I could find some 4x4s like that for free.

first pic the two big logs look like bradford pear? I also see a chestnut oak round and some white oak smalls.
Last two i believe are poplar.

Just got around to splitting this today, really beautiful inside and had a nice smell to it. Any idea on drying times?

TofH aka Chinese Sumac. Split and stacked it'll be ready by fall. Fast dryer, fast burner.
