    Nice. The local winner in these parts weighed in at 1,746.5 lbs. I watched a show a few years back on how serious these competitors are with their pumpkins suspended in harnesses, computerized scales and even attempted sabotage on their prized pumpkins.

    Yeah, it's intense. Those guys were pretty proud.

    My family has gone every year for a while now. First time I haven't been working, so I was able to go. My interest is piqued, after talking with some of the competitors ;)
