I must be getting soft in my old age. I have 6 cheap ladder stands in my woods and mother in laws woods. It is all my son and I have ever used to harvest our deer. Dunham’s Sports in Janesville had these on sale for $299 the other day so I have joined the deer blind club. 7 feet elevation to your feet 10 feet elevation to the shooting rail. It’s my first hut. What do you guys and gals use for deer blinds? I would love to see how creative everybody is.
I don’t have any pics but I’ll make the old lean to against a tree with some sticks. I have seen a cool blind made out of cord wood on here somewhere@Backwoods Savage
A few years ago I was surprised when a neighbor gave this to me. I use it maybe 3 or 4 days a year but it is nice. I did notice that the roof does need some fixing now. Below are a couple of blinds I made from cord wood.
I really like the cordwood blind concept. Only change is I would want them higher for standing and sitting in a chair. I must admit you were using your noodle when you came up with the idea! Just the kind of sneaky trick that a deer would expect from a Backwoods Savage !
Don't have a pic of mine, but I picked up a Barronett blind a few years ago. Ground level. https://www.sportsmansguide.com/pro...Mx9P8q6fx3jf5wSMc7EcdRk4O8JtWFGRoCeMQQAvD_BwE

I showed your stand to Chazsbetterhalf and said.. "I could put an antenna on top of that." She shook her head and told the dog.. "Your dad is crazy."
