Sad Visit

Stopped by PA Woodmizer. No real inventory to speak of. Unbelievable lead times on Mills and Resharpening.

 

It'll be this way for "as long as it takes" is not an acceptable solution.

There are still restaurants on limited hours and not enough help to fully open as well as some other businesses. Ever notice just how many more of the self-check registers that are common?

 

It will get worse before it gets better. The only thing I can get quick anymore is a headache.

Inventory costs a lot. Modern manufacturing is based of minimizing it. From a business stand point it doesn't make sense to increase capacity if they know the demand bubble will burst. In the distant past where there WM dealers just stacked with sawmills?

 

The problem is, around me anyways, very few have any valuable skills to barter.
