They come north out of BTV all the time. My dads 1.5 miles from runway so they rattle his windows some. Usually mile up when they get here..

That's got to be intense doing touch-and-gos over the forest canopy LOL. Yeah they're definitely fun to be up close to (unless you're on the receiving end of their wrath of course)

All the stuff that looks like grass growing out of the rocks are areas they drilled, I would think it would be ready to pop the top off but I'm not sure. 104_0886.JPG

I have not gone back and read previous posts, But are they going to dowel into the rock and pour concrete?? Doesn't look like a very uniform pattern where they drilled.

Went back thru the posts...Are they gonna blast the rock?

We went for a ride today so we went down to this road, they did some blasting and I never brought the camera!:hair:

I think they did this Wednesday when I was burning some pine in the fireplace, I heard a boom but didn't think much about it since I was running around getting dead pine. We'll take another ride to this area with the camera.

They still have some blasting left but things are moving along, hopefully mother nature holds off on the white stuff so they can get it done.

The big pile up the hill behind the sand are cut up tires strung together that they put over the areas before the blast. 104_1105.JPG

We were down the other day without the camera and it looks like they're done with the blasting, hopefully I can get down there for another picture and a ride on that road when it's done.

This has been done for a few weeks but here are a few pictures from today. The second picture looks like cut up rubber tires strung together that they put over the rocks before blasting.
