One of the fun things about any forum is getting to know other folks. We kinds get to appreciate each other's knowledge and sense of humor. Would any one be interested in doing regional cook out get Togethers in their area? I see lots of Ct, Mass folks on here as well as NH And Maine. There are lots of state parks we could use for free and do a BYOB and food. Or Am I just Nuts?
I appreciate the idea. It's tough when FWHC has only one get together and it's in the wrong direction from me. I'm an east coast guy and would appreciate meeting other easties from here. I'm sure if we got some ideas started we could make it work. Food and drink is a must, everything else is an extra
Well let know where and when, and if even remotely possible, I'll do my best to come to it fellas! The GTG we have planned for Ohio just worked out that way. Trust me, if there was a place centrally where we could ALL get together, that would be awesome, but that's really hard to do. So I'D LOVE to make it to anything you guys may plan. Just gimme a heads-up.
This year the GTG is in Ohio, the weekend of May 17th. But that's not to say that the next one can't be in New Hampshire or another New England state. I went to Ogunquit Maine a few years back and loved it. A quiet spot along the ocean. Loved it.
I wish I had a little more time in my schedule to help organize a meet for north east FHC folks. If someone took the reigns I would gladly jump in and give whatever time I could manage. I think regional meets may be the only way most folks could afford to go.
