I was looking for a new "large format stihl" bar in 16" 3/8 .05 LP and can only find a stihl and a logosol. The stihl E is $80 and the logosol is $46. Is there any issue with using the logosol for general use? I could not think of any but wanted to check. Its a solid bar versus the laminated stihl E, and would seem to be stronger on paper. I was just going to use the 18" stihl bar off my 026 but was considering a new 16" for this 024.
I don't know how the logosol would hold up but for the price it would be hard not to try it. Cannon makes a 16" lp bar but it isn't cheap either.
Yes I did find that one too just a while ago, its over $100. Mainly trying to find out if the bar has something about it that precludes it from being used in a "regular" fashion. I talked with Bailey's and they state that the Logosol is designed strictly for the milling machine, but I can't see what is different about it.
The only thing I can think of is it might have a larger nose. Due to the higher chances of kickback they might be dancing around liability concerns?
