That sucks! I hate the ice. Snow cause problems but not like Ice. Hope the weather improves there. I see you’re in St. Louis. My mother in law is a travel nurse and is in the Springfield area right now. I get pics from time to time of the white stuff. Were thinking about visiting here shortly for a few day. Anything I should check out in the area?

Just to name a few Springfield has a big Bass Pro which is pretty cool to visit. There's also a Route 66 car museum and an NRA sport shootin museum just to name a few. I don't have kids so I'm not sure about kid friendly sites. You can always take a photo of yourself next to the world's largest fork which is a roadside attraction. Not far from me across the river in Illinois is the worlds largest ketchup bottle. I guess bigger is better in the Midwest.

Hope you have rain clothing Rebel.

I've been amazed lately about how much rain has been falling out east. But, at least you don't have to shovel that.

I’m only 10 minutes from Springfield so on site response roads are still treacherous less than 1/10” ice should melt tomorrow no power outages to speak off. I’ll second Bass Pro and the the NRA sporting firearms museum upstairs in Bass Pro. The Wonders of Wildlife Museum beside Bass Pro is fantastic from all reports but not cheap.
Nakatos Japanese Steal House is the best place to eat then there Lambert’s home of the throwed roll (yes they chuck the rolls at you from across the room)

Days of heavy rain here and up stream (Ohio River) now snow.

The creek on my property empties into the Ohio, which is at or near flood stage causing, the creek to back up. It's higher than I've seen it in 4 or 5 years. I had to hastily move 2 piles of freshly split wood, about a cord and a half, to keep them from floating away. Lesson learned split and stack. Don't be lazy and put it off for another day.

I'll have to move this one in a couple hours. The creek should be behind and below the treeline in the background.

My dad and I went to town this morning for coffee and groceries. When I made it home I fixed lunch and went to the basement. I walked up an hour later to a nice coating of snow all over the ground. I couldn’t pass it up so I took the dogs for a walk.

Best of luck with the wood piles. I hope you get them before the Ohio does.

Snow and rain here today, supposed to be dry tomorrow and then some heavy rain 1st of the week. I have close to 2 cords of tops cut and it's so sloppy in my honey hole I have to wait to bring it up and split and stack. I planned to get it while the ground was frozen but it didn’t happen
