Hey guys! Finally getting around to posting the pics of my new (to me) 372xp. Picked her up this afternoon. Everything checked out and she sounds mean. Blew 150psi. Need to do some inside cleaning, but looking pretty good. A few questions.......

    1) I'm going to ditch the 36" bar (as I mentioned before) - I know I'll never use it. I just bought a new powermatch (Oregon 20" 0.050" Power Match Chainsaw Bar 200RNDD009) bar for my Husqvarna 61 - would that bar mount on the 372xp? I'm dying to try her out, but not with the current bar!
    2) The outside dawg is mounted correctly, but the tensioner screw is visible from below the dawg where it mounts to the studs (there is a ~1/4 inch gap where you can see the tensioner - is this normal? Seems odd.
    3) I'd like to check max rpm with my tach - what am I shooting for with this saw? I read about 9600 max somewhere, but I want to be sure before I start using the saw.

I'll probably have a few more as I go through the saw in more detail.

Thanks for the encouragement to get this ole girl - finally a 70cc saw in the line-up! Cheers!

It looks like it's in great shape. The plastic looks good, it looks clean.
    Congratulations!

The bar for the 61 will fit the 372. I believe you will like your new saw.

The bar for the 61 will fit the 372. I believe you will like your new saw. The 9600 rpm mark should be where maximum power is. The top rpm should be about 13500.

Thanks - the number I saw was for max power as pointed out above - didn't see that and thought it sounded crazy low. Just found the spec and same as stated above - 13.5K. Thanks!

The tensioner is normal. 13.3k is probably going to be the limit on the coil.

Was thinking 9500 was super fat for WOT. Was also thinking 13k, but I see others set you straight.

Uhhhh, I think I'm starting to speak clemsonfor as I read that sentence with ease. In case you don't, I can translate:

"Was this kids g" = My guess was....

My guess was 9.5k was super fat for WOT. Also, my guess was 13k, but I see others set you straight.
