Spent all day yesterday getting things back in order after working for the last three months with only 3 days off. Got all my trails opened back up with the brush hog, cut up three downed trees, hung two stands, set up a blind, cleaned off the food plot, and set up a new feeder. IMG_20190908_120500.jpg

Ha it's been a crazy year and a half...lol. three different jobs one of which was a 1.5 hour drive one way with 12 hour works days and some weird swing shift hours. Finally landed something closer to home that I really like and things are settling down. In that time frame my wife got laid off when the place she worked for went under and was unemployed for a while so that added to the excitement. However in the midst of all of that God was good/faithful and now that things have settled down it was for the better.

Family is doing well and i am looking forward to some more home time, cutting trees, hunting and some warm fires:thumbs:

2 more days till archery here in NJ! I was at my stand last week checking things out and kicked up 3 deer bedded down about 50 yards away.

I picked up a nice light weight tree camo jacket from Ollie's. I was hoping to find some light weight pants or bibs there but no luck.

I missed a doe at 40 yards this afternoon :headbang: Shot went under her. First time I've ever missed a shot at a deer. I should of waited to see if she'd come into my 25 yd or less kill zone but the way she was walking it looked like she would of continued going away from me. Nice clean broadside attempt and I just muffed it. At least it was a clean miss and no injury. I'll be back out there tomorrow.

Nothing Sat or Sun. last night about 6:45 one snuck out of the corn but stayed right on the edge of it for about 5 min. 60+ yards away.
