Any way for me to reduce the size of picture form other members posts? I have a slow download speed , compared to most lower 48 members, + a limited data plan. Have notice the size of pictures is larger & it take almost 1/2 a minute for me to download some threads, like well seasoned "splitting in the wind" Kinda forces me to not download the thread, which kinda sucks , when it takes over a few seconds & eats my data . Can I choose to block some photos or reduce the size of them. Maybe picture quality don't need to be so high & big that it eats our data and takes so much time. I'm a picture guy, but the big pictures force me to avoid the post. Dave
Yep, i might have to scale the size back on some of these. I have been noticing it too, people have said they didnt used to have to resize their pics but i sure dont remember them putting up pics this big.
Thanks 1000 pixel max was a big pic . IMO, Maybe If some one wants a good version, for some personal reason they can PM the poster & get the full high quality version via e-mail ? ?
I've noticed a few posts that have the full sized pic, and those load pretty slowly. I always use the "thumbnail" option. I'm on a DSL line @ 1.5 Mb, so not the fastest.
I have been using the same camera on the same phone, same settings for a year Some of my pictures are large but I use the thumbnails so I don't think it is a problem, doing it that way. Is it?
Its kind of a double edged sword-- small is fast, takes up a small amount of storage space. Big is slow to load and takes up a lot of space. I like medium...
Some may not be happy, but I have lowered the acceptable picture size to about 4mb and 2000x2000 pixels.
