Green onion, garlic, green pepper, worschesrer ya that sauce and mini Bella shrooms. Next toasted buns and cheese!
A weird box of philly steak meat that we found at Meijer. It turned out to be health meat even though the box made it look like garbage food.
I tried making a somewhat version of a philly cheese steak last week. I've never had one so what do I know? Onions n green peppers cooked quickly, then venison in the pan, and toasted a couple spiced up pieces of bread in the pan to soak up the oils and flavors. Topped it with nacho cheese and away I went. Didn't look as good as yours though
Oh heck no!! Please don't call this a Philly cheese steak! I know your title says "sort of" but living 30 minutes from Philly my whole life, I already know when someone calls it a "Philly cheese steak" it just isn't going to be. Now I do realize imitation is the best flattery and I'm only busting your chops here. The meat aspect looks good but a big part of what makes a good cheese steak is the roll and the Philly area has lots of great bread. It should be served on a long sub style roll and a real one only comes with provolone cheese - preferably melted on the grill on top of the meat just before its all placed into the roll. My family loves to make our own version of them as well. The only substitutes I make to the real deal is I use venison and instead of provolone, I like pepper jack. My fried onions and peppers also include a hot pepper just to spice it up a bit.
O your good..... I say sort of because I spent years running the east coast in a truck. I’ve had the real deal it’s gooder than anything I make!!! I used to go to a stand called Kings or Pats maybe it was pat king something like that it was AMAZING food....
They are the tourist traps...I know many love them but there are so many other great mom and pop places in the city to get one.
