So I had a few logs down the trail to the lake. It’s a PITA to take the tractor down there. I reverse all the way. I noticed the bucket doesn’t have much capacity but figured pallet forks and a pallet would work better. And they did. (Yes, bringing longer logs is more efficient but I had cut these).
Working on it. Could be used for ballast too. Unfortunately have a few projects to tackle before that one.
I made a three sided cage that I can pick up with my forks . Open side faces away from the tractor. Works great for a situation just like this. Not sure if I have a picture. If I find one I will post it.
I enclose 3 sides and use a heavy pallet on the bottom. When I cut rounds I stack in those racks to transport to the processing area. Works great and they're reusable.
Very nice! In the winter if I want to use the tractor to move some wood I toss a pallet on my 2 prong 3point hay spear, I don't have a loader on it. You can stack a fair amount of wood on just a pallet!
Great job! Pallet for are such a versatile attachment. I'm going to make a 3 sided box for mine soon.
