We started burning yesterday (if you pair paid attention you may have deduced that from me taking pics in front of the Drolet). Before bed I gave it a half load and closed the primary down to about 30%. This morning it was still 65 in here with hot coals, so I half loaded again, opened the primary and bypass and left the door slightly ajar and very shortly the fire was going again. Waiting for it to come up to temp yet, but it is nice not having to start the day with a cold stove.
Threw a load in the Oslo last night myself. Had some good coals this morning and almost lit up another far but it was still 70 in the house. Been just alittle on the raw side down here just north of Waterloo.
Haven't even lit a match in mine yet. I'm still holding out in order to save wood for the really cold nights. It was a bit chilly, but not too bad.
I put 1/2 a load if spruce in my Blaze Kung yesterday at around 5pm and it's still going. It darn near makes wood, right????!!!
Sorry, typed that on my iphone under the influence of cough medicines a plenty. Should be Blaze King.
Put 1 up yesterday. Was wunderin where all you guys got to on the interweb. I musta missed the memo. http://firewoodhoardersclub.com/for...w-budget-chainsaw-mill.232/page-3#post-162516 I even see some good ole boys on here that are from my part of my world.
Not another Iowan! What's this placing coming too!!! Waterloo...plenty of time spent over there as a kid.
Crazy drop in temps here too. When we left central PA for Ohio yesterday at 4:30am, it was in the 70's here. Got to Dex's and it was 49°......then it snowed and sleeted!!! Got back home last night at 10:30pm and it was down to almost 32°!! So I fired up the NZ3000 and did an overnighter in her.....slept on the couch, it was so cozy. Still had coals in her at 8:30pm this evening from a small morning load of wood so I put some maple and a piece of black birch in......I'll throw some white oak on at bedtime.
The Buck's going again here tonight with a few little ash and cherry splits, some red oak going in soon. If the weatherman is anywhere close to being right, probably the last load for about 10 days.
No you got the ole Buck, I got the new Buck.......I'm sure I paid more of a buck for my Buck then you did for your Buck, in 1982 a buck went farther when purchasing a Buck......still a lot of bank for your buck either way.
