The stock inner spike leaves something to be desired so I want a double dawg kit. Anyone got a P/N? I don't need big ones...just a little more bite when holding the saw at a weird angle.

Are the chain catchers a PITA when swapping a bar/chain? I've never used one before.

The ones he ended up with are a little too big for what I'm after.

Those are the small OE dogs. I have basicallythe same size on my 650 and the IPL lists the size i have in the 660 IPL as the small set. The big ones must be nothing short of massive.

The dual spike/catcher kit for the 361/362 is a good set for that saw. Adds a 5th spike down low but the top spikes are the same size as what you have now. I have this kit on my 261 but I want to downsize a bit on that one I think.

I can get you part numbers but it will have to wait until tomorrow.

Here's what I came up with, don't know if its right.

    Pair of larger dogs w/ roller catcher P/N: 1135 650 7750

    Inner 1135 664 0501
    Outer 1135 664 0500
    Catcher/Roller 1135 650 7700

Yep. That's the kit. The stock spike is a stamped piece and rather weak.

I bought the dual spike kit and my saw will be arriving from Tennessee on Thursday for me to install it :)

They are not "Big Spikes" either. Rather a stock size, with an extra tooth and chain catch.

The set on your 650 and my 460 are large dogs/spikes.. Not small. They don't make anything larger than that. At least Stihl doesn't. The aftermarket you can get larger..

The set on my 441 and soon to be on the 362 are considered small (stock). The one I bought for the 441 is just an outer to match the inner (one piece). But because the inner on the 362 is stamped and doesn't match, I bought the entire kit for it. Inner, outer, and chain catch.

Did it come with mounting hardware or do I need to source that elsewhere?

    Yep. Comes with everything needed.

I bought mine from a member who didn't need it. I got mine for $30 shipped. I think its $39 at the dealer though. MasterMech can better help you with pricing.

I thought the spike I pulled off of my 650 matched the small dog # on the ipl. I was looking for the outer one on ebay so I was researching the numbers. I was almost positive that my inner spike on the saw was a factory small. I have since sold it on ebay since I installed the AM set.

If I remember I will go find my old auction and get that part number to compare to the ill.

I thought you were taking about the Dogs you had on there now?

You need to be specific when you post my friend.

I know. From when I was researching them on the IPL. I was almost positive that my inner dog number matches the small set. Maybe I am wrong? I'll check later
