Polar vortex max pull on boiler . Here some numbers to think about .. 3 zones pulling 25 degrees 25 degrees and 15 degrees . That's total of 243,750 Btus max I seen was at -30f it was pulling 270,000btus off boiler.. as air got cooler going in to exchangers the more heat it pull off water. There crazy heat making systems.

25 degrees is about 93,500 btus

Boiler was averaging 55-65 pound burned per hour .

    Polar vortexs are evil .

That's a pretty big load...you must be heating some large spaces?

How many sqft are you heating? When we had that cold snap last month and it got down to -10, my boiler would idle for about 45 minutes at a time, which mean I was pulling about 50K/hour(200Gx8.4/Gx20DT/.75). You are pulling 5x that!!!
