    image.jpg image.jpg Just came across this picture trying to find some shots of my woodpiles. Big white oak cut down to size. I always say, a bit of extra saw time makes for an easy day with the splitter.

    Smokertr1973 , nice work. I'm not looking for you to ship any of your wood to me but if you got a free day I could use your talents down here.
    My buddy says he is going to break them down with a maul, better him then me.

    I always fight big rounds onto the splitter. I just never think of cutting them...?

    I got the American Splitter with a lift and a hookaroon for just these reasons.

    It usually starts out looking something like this. This load was yellow pine, still waiting for a date with the chainsaw mill.

    I just wish oak didn't take sooooooo long to dry. I moisture tested some two year old stuff at the beginning of this season, stored on skids, full sun and wind, still around 28%.
