Thought the Sawyer crew would like to see a true beast of a Black Walnut this tree has been estimated to be one of Ontario's oldest trees a real old growth tree over 400 years old! To nice to cut but their will come a day when she comes down and it will make a fine table! My arm span is 68" and I can't even reach around the curve. Yes Weatherby usually pays a pretty hefty price for them! A friend of mine was going to buy some ground with a lot of mature walnuts on them, but the owner had it logged first before he bought it.

He was a little upset at first but someone told him about contacting Weatherby. He did and ended up getting more money for the stumps /root balls than the owner got for all the timber! :bug::hair::dex: Iam not sure if he was giving me a line of B/S or not but that what he told me.

That might be something to check in to. Tell him you'll remove them for a minimal price! But get someone who knows what their talking about to take a look at it with you before you get serious about the removal . :binoculars:

I'm from Toronto, Went to Niagara last October, didn't notice the tree but theres so many and lots of land to explore there. Cut that tree open and it would be a disappointment. Lok at all the hardware screwed into it. Bummer. I bet there'd still be bidding wars if it had to come down
