Got a call from a good friend, had two oaks that needed to come down. He asked if I wanted the wood on the condition I took the brush.

Well worth 2 loads of brush if you ask me:

My buddy impressed the heck out of me (he has been doing this almost 20 years.)

    First some rigging:

He was a bit unhappy, he wanted it on the two bucks ...and finally the prize. Still one truck load to gather tomorrow night. (This is two rows ...)

    The other oak ...

Nice haul! White, then red? Was he planning to pull the stumps with a tractor? That the reason for leaving the stumps that high?

They said red's, no mention of whites. And you got it he left the stumps so they could excavate them out if needed.

OH and I got to run his 440 for a bit

I've cut a few trees but a fell like that is above my pay grade. Nice work!

I was cutting a small wood lot alongside a professional a few weeks back. He dropped a big aspen right towards a powerline. I was standing off to the side thinking oh crap here we go. The top branches missed the bottom line by about 6". He's a nice guy so I'll chalk it up to skill rather than luck. :)

tuneighy, we have hundreds or thousands of those right now. I'll probably just mow most off. I did move a few but only a few.
