I have not seen an "Old Sayings" thread on this site. Am I missing it? I'll start with a few: A stitch in time saves nine. Little strokes fell great oaks. He who cuts his own fire wood is twice warmed. Once fooled, twice wary. If you don't know a knot, tie a lot. Penny wise, pound foolish. (Thank you Ben)
Hadn't seen that ....sorry. Should have known there would be one with this bunch. I have been reading that thread and see a lot of good ones!
Or as my Dad used to say: When you are young you worry about the first time you couldn't do it the second time. When you are old you worry about the second time you couldn't do it the first time! What ever the heck "it" is. I forget!
But when there is snow on the roof, there is fire in the furnace! The older the buck, the stiffer the horn.
