According to Accuweather forecast, we should need evening/overnight fire starting on Tuesday.
Last year, we started having regular fires in the middle of Sept.
    I think we've had 3 so far....maybe 4. Small ones.

That'll make it chilly enough for a fire every night this week, maybe morning too.

Don't blame you at all for lighting up. If I'm cool in the house, I too will start a fire. I want to be comfortable in my home.

I built the first of the fall on Friday. I got wet cruising timber and was cold to the bone. I fixed that problem. I'm fixin' on lighting up another one in a few minutes. God Bless

Had a light frost this morning. I have to admit that I turned the oil on the other night, shhhh. Not cold enough to fire up the boiler yet.
