I just discovered a great new alcoholic beverage, "Not Your Father's Root Beer". I'm not sure how long this has been around but my daughter turned me on to it. Tastes just like root beer, only 5.9% Etoh. Makes great root beer floats too! (That's some sun tea cooking to the right.)

That is some great stuff! Dad and Mom brought some back from Alabama a couple of years ago. Plus they had to buy it cause they named that tea after Dad.... ...

I guess I would sum it up like this .............. If you are looking for a root beer tasting "BEER" you might be disappointed with its sweetness and spices, etc. If you are looking for an "Alcoholic Soda Pop" by all means proceed ahead!

I've been making sun tea for many years. What could be simpler, I make a batch every 2-3 days in these one gallon containers. I like my tea strong so I brew during the day, frig it over night, and pull the bags out the next morning. I like my tea unsweetened, but I do like to mix my tea with some Raspberry sweet tea that my daughter buys. This batch of tea was "Passion fruit-Papaya".

By the way, as this is the firewood hoarders club, fired up the 026 after dinner and cut down that dwarf alberta spruce (almost 7 feet tall and dying) behind the beer bottle!

I consider it a dessert beer, to sweet to drink few at time. one on the deck in the evening is good though.

I like that root beer. Not something I would drink much of but a great drink for having with a burger or hot dog by the fire.
