We put two beef in the freezers Saturday. We hung 'em in the cooler a week or so back and started cutting and packaging Saturday morning at 5:30. Ten hours later 1,411 of beef had been cut and/or ground, vacuum sealed and stacked in the freezers of a number of family members. These dressed out at 704 lbs and 711 lbs. We've been butchering our own since before my dad was a kid and he was born in 1909, learned from his grandfather and passed it on down to us boys and we have done the same. We usually do three beef a year and as many as 6 to 7 hogs. We did just three hogs this year, but these current two beef totals the tally to the annual number of three as we did the first one on a weekday a few weeks back. So no cooking in this post.....but maybe in the future....???? Btw guys, is it ok or considered gauche to provide a link to ones own youtube channel for a short video on slicing hams and bacon....?? That is, if anyone would be interested anyway....

Well it didn't work so instead of deleting the whole post, I am editing to continue the suggestions.... When I paste in the bar in the media box the link is there and in this edit box the link is there.....
