This seemed like a good place to post this.

I was in NH this past weekend with some friends. We stopped at a small antique/junk store. I picked up a few things.

$5 got me a steel wedge. It'll be put to use. Nothing too exciting.

Another $5 got me what I think is called a pulp hook. I'm interested to see how it can be used.

The steel hook is through the steel tube and peened over. Rusty, but still solid.

$15 got me this pulley. Metal with a wooden wheel

I hope it's still functional, and that the wheel doesn't crumble with the first use. There are a couple of check cracks in the wheel. Unless it's thought to be a bad thing, I'll use some boiled linseed oil on the wheel, and grease the hub before use.

The blue material was a "free" bag/backpack to take my treasures away in

Lots of wall hanger items there. No available walks here. The place is on the Kangamungas Hwy, a few miles in front rt16. I think it's called the "red shed'.

I love that kind of place! Nice wedge, put it in white vinegar to get some rust off, and sharpen it up.

Love the red shed.. Such an iconic part of the drive.

Yet to stop there but one of these days...

The hook might be a hay hook. Used to pull bales off the baler back in the days before kick balers. I have several .

I've used the pulp hook to toss firewood as well, works great for grabbing one end after other hand had wood, and great for flipping on release.
Takes time to get the hang of it, but it can both help and hinder.

Man I'd hop right to the grocery store and buy some vinegar and soak all those awesome things you got, especially the wedge. A few minutes with a wire brush (drill or by hand) and some WD-40 and that baby will look like an ingot of silver! I soaked mine for about a week......
