I was able to score this 2014 Honda 250 for pretty cheap, it’s in excellent condition- seems like the previous owner hardly ever rode it. Needs a little tlc since it sat for awhile- carb clean, fresh gas, etc. It will certainly get some use with me, it might not be the largest atv but it will do a good job at hauling some firewood rounds from the woods to the house. Also will haul hay for the Pygmy goats. Oh and the beer cooler!

Nice looking 4wheeler. They are a very handy part of the firewood hoarding.

Those older and smaller machines will still do the work. I got an older Kawasaki bayou 300 that does what I need it to. But right now needs u-joints in the front shaft

I hauled many, many cord of wood with a Yamaha 250 and it was rare to have any problems. I do remember getting stuck twice. Once in deep snow and another time in deep mud. Other than those two rare times, everything went fine and I miss that small atv. Also, it still had shifting rather than automatic which I like.

That's a beauty. I bought a used Honda 500 and sure like it. I would like to pick up a second one like yours for when someone wants to tag along!

I rode a 250 years ago while hunting, i kept up with all the big boys, it was a little awkward because it was a little smaller, but, much easier to muscle around if need be. The guy made me a crazy offer to buy it, but, i wanted a newer one, guess what, the newer one did the same exact job the little one did, but was heavier, and not as easy to muscle around if i had too. Enjoy it and think about how much money you saved as compared to a bigger, newer one, your WAY AHEAD!!

I've got an old 300c 4wd Bayou as well. I had to replace ujoints in the back and it wasn't too fun. The front DS looks really not fun to replace ujoints. This old bayou will do anything and go anywhere though. I've got a newer 500 sportsman and this old Kawi does everything that the bigger machine can do, and maybe more because it's smaller and can fit places the bigger machine can't.

    Ford101 Is that a recon?

Thanks everyone, so far it’s treating me well. It’s over 100 degrees with the humidity factored in here, so I haven’t been able to really do much with it yet. I may put some new tires on before winter comes and a set of chains, any tire suggestions? The Kenda bear claws look nice

Yes!!! Swamp lites!!! They rock and bite everything. Also, the set we have on my wifes are Deestone "swamp witches". If you have mud, these are your tires!!! Either or are awesome. I have the swamp lites on my daughters 250ex. We have never been stuck. I really like the swamp witches but "DON'T" drive them on anything like a golf course of nice turf, it will eat it up !!! You can find the best deals "believe it or not" on e-bay. I've purchased all my ATV tires there, just do home work and shop. (edit). I forgot to note that the swamp lites act like a chainsaw in snow, you'll get a good bite but they throw snow "everywhere". your better with the swamp witch's in snow, my wife had no problem what so ever.

Here's my wife's before, and after. Last pic is up in the "high Country" of Bluefield West Virginia! We were real close and stopped to say hello to our friend Eric VW. Those tires performed flawlessly up there.

Here's a pic of our recon. 20 yrs. Old and still earning is keep. Has hauls literally over a hundred cord of wood. 5+cord x 20 yrs. I would watch how heavy a tire you get. Have had good luck with ITP mud lites. Running them on both of the ATVs.
