The UPS man came today :ups:and brought me my new Kolpin ATV rifle case and bracket. Gonna get ready for New Hampshire soon. Never had one and this seems fairly stable but I can see it may "bounce" a little. I'll take it for a test drive, may need a bungy cord to stabilize it. Everything I read has given it good reviews! Anyone else have one? do they work ok? DSCN3137.JPG DSCN3139.JPG DSCN3140.JPG DSCN3138.JPG

    Nice quad WeldrDave

Don't have a gun case on mine, just a gunrack.

Not sure I like how far out and high it sits. Seems kinda vulnerable out there.

Hope it works great for you.

I agree! I guess as long as I stay on trails and not trying to go into the tight spots, I should be ok! I "did" think the same thing! o_O

I can't remember what brand I have, but I have it for 25 years. Never a problem and yours looks nicer than mine.

I had one a few years back, they are nice when it's raining and you want to keep your rifle dry or going to the stand in early morning you don't have to hold the gun.

They shake a little bit but never knocked my scope off. I broke it riding in the woods. guess a limb hit it and broke it off the mount. I never replaced it cause they changed the mount that goes on the scooter and I didn't want to buy another mount. so I just kinda forgot about it, but I do miss it on days you get caught in the rain.

Nice quad you have, I need to get me a newer one.

Thanks! It's a 2014 Honda Rancher. I take better care of it than my truck!:emb: It has all the power I need for what I do.

I don't have a 4-wheeler, so don't know anything about how the case works, but that just looks bad-azz! Almost looks like a machine gun mounted (except shape - but at a quick glance).

Thanks for the insight!:yes: All it does is keep a rifle or shotgun in it. This one is not big enough for a shot gun, so just a lever action, "cowboy" type rifle will go in there, it keeps it from getting wet, beat up and falling off when riding. It just makes life easy when you go out on a hunt and have to travel a distance. :)

I have a Kolpin rifle case on my ATV, a few years previous model. I. Love. It. If it gets a little rattly on rough terrain, a few pieces of strategically placed rubber will put you back to smilin’!

Good to know! It came with a "thin" sleeve but I have a older soft case I found in my pile of gun crap that my Marlin will go into and it fits snuggly in the Kolpin! :) Just lucky on that one...

You're making me want another one.lol I have looked at them several times since I broke mine but never pulled the trigger. They changed the end of it looks like. does that flip up to get the gun in and out? Also your mount looks stronger than the old style. I like that flip up, the old cap style was aways getting hung on limbs and pulling off. had to go find it a few times when I noticed it was gone.

Best buy I found right here!!! Kolpin 20025 Gun Case Gun Boot 6.0 Impact Plastic Black 51.00" Length Each | eBay
By the way, the seller, "powersports" is a division of Summit racing. The bracket number is 20200, it's Kolpins universal mounting bracket and will fit just about everything.
