I finally pulled the trigger and traded my Ram 1500 Quad Cab 6'4" box for a new 2019 Ram 2500 Reg Cab 8' box. Some of you may remember I had to replace my old Chevy 1500 Reg Cab 8' a couple years ago. I have to say wife and I really missed the 8'. Since then we got our finances back in order and I got a promotion/raise at work, so this was our gift to ourselves. I got the 6.4 Hemi since I honestly didn't have a real need for the Cummins, beyond they are super cool. I think wife is happier than me. She's never taken a shine to the 6'4" bed. In fact, when we were reviewing the final details of this purchase she said "Don't worry honey. You had me at 8' bed."
You had the box checked off for a nice tractor, now you can check the box for a nice truck. Looks like everything is in order, carry on!
An employee traded his 1500 for a 2500 last week. There are some good deals now. Downside was his wife wanted a new vehicle too. Probably ruined the deal on his. They went to a different dealer. Nice looking and quality vehicles
"Employee Pricing" a.k.a. Covid pricing ended May 31st. Dealer still gave it to me since I first test drove the truck last week. He wound up eating the cost of the discount because FCA won't give him the credit since the final sale was June 2. Phew, that was a close one.
Yep. Dealer sells a lot of commercial trucks, so they had plenty of no frills trucks. Regular cabs are getting to be hard to find outside of commercial/fleet sales.
My old '07 Silverado didn't even have power window or locks! That was actually kind of a pain in the butt. I would have to pull over and stop to roll the passenger side window up/down.
Chrysler offers to any public safety a very good discount on their vehicles. It’s so deep, a person can only use the offer once a year. That includes volunteer firefighters, reserve police, or anyone with about any type of badge. you can also buy police fleet vehicles at government rate. My Ram 1500 is a Special Service. Most options are available, but my truck has cloth front seats and vinyl back. It’s great, that’s where the dog rides.
Yes, First Responders, Military, FFA, 4H, Case IH-New Holland group equipment owners, etc. They can really add up fast.
Mike love it. The RAM's new look is awesome. My new 1500 crew cab with the 5'7" and 5.7L Hemi is such a sweet ride. My buddy just picked up the 2500 crew cab with the 6.4L. He swears by it. I noticed that your 4 wheel drive is a shifter on the floor. Where mine is a selector on the dash. Did you get the 8.4" display or the smaller display? It does not look like you got the super huge 12" oversized iPad looking display. The spray-in bed liner is a really must-have feature. I know what you mean about the bed size. My thought process on getting the 5'7" bed is that I'll be getting a 10' dump trailer in the near future. Something tells me I might regret not getting the 6'4" bed, but it is what it is. Enjoy it. You picked a great color. Jason from RI
