Here are a few pics my family posted on FB following the recent ice storm. The son is holding the fish.
I think so, My sons are the fishermen in the family. Used to go a lot, but when the wife got so she couldn't get around so well, I gave up on most on my fishing activity. The fish always go back into the water. No one around here cares for eating those, just the fun of catching them.
Winter's icy grip. Really nice pictures. We were travelling south on a MA. highway today just below the NH border. We saw two convoys of lineman's trucks heading south. One group was from Indiana. I told the kids to give a thumbs up to them as we passed them as they may have been away from home for the holiday.
I took the dogs out for a hike today, the temps were in the upper 30s with sun. The ice started to melt off the trees, it was like a hard rain under the trees, with blue skies above, odd feeling.
I work as a molecular biologist in a neurobiology lab, that second picture looks like a neuromuscular junction, or some kind of alien life form.
I think it wasn't too wide spread. But there were a large number of accidents and fatalities. Automobile collisions, house fires, afphyxia from poorly vented supplemental heating devices. Power outages for several days including Christmas. Smart phones allowed people to stay in contact. Back up power sticks helped.
Is that a 3 legged dog? Great pics saves I took some too but most looked like crap because my phone was cold..
Pete, the dog has 4 legs as much as I can recall. Belongs to a cousin. They were without power for 5 days.
Ha Ha, I thought the same thing at first look. Great pics save$, too bad they had to come with a price of not power to so many
Nope, that's a large mouth bass and he would have gone right in my skillet. Good cold, firm filets at this time of year.
