They do. This one is vented straight out the back that's why we cannot see it from the video angle.

Very nice unit. Uses the same interface as the new 52i.

Although the burn pot has me scratching my head? It didn't look to have an open front? So how is scraping possible?

Interesting. Harman is finally coming into the 21st century and using a touch screen.

Nice catch. That grate on the front of the burn pot is a "flame enhancer" and it flips down for cleaning. Yeah. Flame enhancer. Chuckle.

Dont be so sure about that. Dane said its the smartest pellet stove on the market today so maybe it is so efficient that it does not require a vent. It is a Harman so that might be the case here :p

Really though, of course it has a vent and this unit looks like a great candidate as a second stove for me, except I dont like electronics like that and really prefer potentiometers... IMO they are more reliable and resistant to voltage spikes and drops. What I do like is that it appears to have a larger ash pan than the current XXV, but that I have not found any specs on this stove yet.

Overall, if it does what they say it does and is reliable, then I would give it a shot after its proven itself.

    EDIT
Now that I see the manual posted by ttdberg , I see that is the housing for combustion fan and not a larger ash pan...too bad but that has to go somewhere doesnt it.
