Picked up a couple of new hiking buddies last night. Dad is a Black Mouth Cur, Mom is 1/2 bloodhound, 1/4 Walker hound, 1/4 Plott hound...I'm a big fan of hounds:). Went to go look at them and couldn't decide on one, so I got two:D. Both males, I'm taking suggestions for names.

    Nice looking hounds Dave:thumbs:
You'll have to get a picture of the BM Cur's mouth. I'm pretty sure my Billy Bob is 1/2Lab 1/2 Cur/Chow (he has a blue tongue) ....then again "Cur" actually means mix.

Now those are some fine looking working dogs. In the first pics you get a sense of just how big those paws could be. They both look like they are in great shape. I like em

Omg! I would hate to see your vet bills. Hope you have a lot of open space for them to run on. There was a man near here who had five dogs he would walk through the streets in town with them on voice control. Every one of them 50-60 pounds. My best to you. I would like to get another one but these two keep me busy. Did you get your new friends at Coastal?

Great looking dogs. They have such soulful faces. I have to keep Campinspecter from looking at rat terrier websites or we would have many more than just three.

It is hard to pick a dog's name. You really have to pick something that you can holler out the back door and not sound ridiculous. Our girls had two cats. They wanted to call one Fluffy Cloud. Try hollering that. We ended up with one cat called Fluffy and the other Cloud.

That's what I was calling them in the car on the way home with my daughter, who was not impressed. I've got a feeling I will not be picking the names.

That's how I found these guys, just poking around. I love the hound breeds, and when I saw these...a mix of my top hound breeds I knew I would have to have one...honest I did not plan to come home with two:D

Naming is proving to be a bit stressful for my daughters, I'm trying to stay out of it and just guide them a bit. They definitely need some masculine names. In the running:
    Oakley
    Jackson
    Baxter
    Cedar
    Jasper
    Eli
    Chester
    Ridge
    Peak
    Notch
    Summit

Cledus and Bubba. Then you could say stuff "Cledus....Bubba.....geeeonovahhya (get on over here)".

Roscoe is a good hound dog name too.
