We have a 13 year old front load Bosch washing machine that stopped working in the middle of the wash cycle over a week ago. I did the normal troubleshooting thing and all the "helpful" parts sites said to replace the $103 door lock switch mechanism that for some reason takes 7 wires to lock and unlock the door.
Got the part, put it on with only a few skint knuckles from gettin my paw down in there and I get the same result.
There are no Bosch service stores covering our area. I suspect it is the main control board which only costs $250 more than I paid for the washer 13 years ago.
    Any help would be appreciated.
I did suggest to the wife that there are some nice flat rocks on the other side of the Yellow Breeches Creek, but that didn't go over to well.

No experience with Bosch but youtube has many videos. That's how I keep my junk running. There is a parts supplier that does videos on everything but the name escapes me right now. If I think of it I'll post it up.

Might want to post the model number to help in the search.

Oh, any trouble codes? Just fixed a buddies Samsung and you had to press and hold 2 buttons to get it to spit out trouble codes.

    Not fun.

I will add that 13 years use from a machine might be all they are designed to last these days.

Original error code was E01,not getting an error code now
replaced the door lock mechanism with OEM part
Now the door lock relay buzzes 3 times when you press start
The only function that seems to work is the door does lock, but will not unlock
Drum and motor turn by hand.
No wiring issues or connections I can find

The old top load we had worked fine and without a computer its easy to fix them

And they wonder why I drink.:pete:

I started fixing the old top load washers when I was 13.
    wigwags, belts, motors, timer switch
some of the parts were interchangeable from one manufacturer to the other
Now we're trying to save a little water....

It seems odd but one of the fix it posts for a Bosch mentioned cleaning out the pump screen. There should be a pump access in one of the front corners. Drain the water out and remove screen to clean pump screen and see if anything has lodged in the pump.

There should be a button combination that will force the pump to run and drain as much water as it can. Don't know it for your washer

It has a drain function but that doesn't do anything now.
It has worked in the past.

Everything belongs except the swivel. That should be in the tackle box.

    Don't go countin your rounds.:picard:
    We're not outta this yet.
    Pump checks out.
    Still have same problem.
I figured out to get the E01 code you have to let it try to verify locked door 3 times.

Looks like you just took a trip to the local hardware store.
Ummm... let me guess that is the wifes lockwasher ( or 2 ) swivel and other assorted hardware. That loose change must be yours.
Amazing that all that can get that far through the system and not get stuck in the drum.

    Good luck with the repair.

My wife always complains about the saw dust and nuts/bolts in my pockets. Says it’s going to Ruin the washer/dryer. When I was replacing the bearings on our washer I found about 35-40 hair pins in the bottom of the tub. I put them on a magnetic parts tray and “forgot” it was stuck to the front of the machine when I reinstalled it. The pins disappeared pretty quick without any words either way.

Found the right boob tube video so I could scroll thru and check codes.
Pulled motor. It's not shorted. Bearings good. Looks brand new. No brushes. 3 phase.
It has an electronic controller that could be bad.
Looking for a way to test that.
The rocks across the creek are looking pretty good right now.:hair:
