These pellets are a cross between NEWP and InstantHeat and look and smell like a softwood blend. The pellets, on average, are on the longer side with some as long as 1.5”. I needed to crank up the feed rate to get a consistent low burn. I heard a lot of auger clunking due to the long pellets. Ash was a medium grey and fine. The ash volume was very high and brought back (bad) memories of the Lee Energy of last season. Glass stayed fairly clean despite running on low for most of the test.

All in all these are a pass for me. They maybe would make a decent “shoulder” pellet if they could get that ash volume down…..a lot. I would rate these at 2 stars.

Disclaimer: As with everything....YOUR MILEAGE MAY VARY....the review is just my opinion of them
