Been using the New Drolet Myriad stove for a while now.

Ease of use , I rate very high.

Ability to Radiate Heat , I rate very high.

Ability to shut it down to very low levels could be better. It still puts out alot of heat at its lowest setting.

Secondaries are very different than Tube stoves. When this stove is at its lowest setting and still flames on the wood its hard to see secondaries. A look at the flue outside shows the stove is only putting out a very light smoke which may just be moisture.

The heavy 5/16" top plate means stove top temps dont change as fast as the heavy top plate stores some heat.

    Very capable heater for sure.

So you would rate it a good buy? It was a good price, for sure.

Good control you can shut the flames off with the air control.

Seems like it likes to cruise about 700 with control lever out about 3/4" from fully closed with a full load of good seasoned hardwoods.

I should explain me saying it could be better at low settings , I mean some stoves can be turned down lower and still maintain secondaries.

I learned from emailing drolet that the baffle does have insulation.
