My favorite mix

    Last night I was burning a mix of black locust and red cedar in my fireplace. Big bright flames, lots of crackling and popping but a deep bed of coals and plenty of heat. I have discovered my favorite mix for the fireplace.

    Oh I’ve burned it out. I prop it up with bricks just because I can.
