    is some what renewed today.
I went to the nursery this morning to do something and my wife told me I should check the mailbox in case there where some checks in there from this months billing statements. And yes, we still have a regular old mailbox on a post instead of a P.O. box. I opened the box and on top of a pile of mail I found this note. Scan0007.jpg
It being Christmas eve most folks already have their trees so we already had our left over trees piled and waiting to be disposed of. But I called the fella back as soon as I read his note so he could come and get whatever tree he wanted for his grandkids for Christmas morning. Turns out he had already taken 1 and just wanted to be an honest human being and pay for it when we open back up after the first of the year. I told him to have a merry Christmas and thanked him for the note and there was no need to pay for that tree fer cryin out loud. After awhile it dawned on me who I was talking to. A black fella about my age that don't have a lot and was in last year with his young grand daughter at the last minute for a tree to make her Christmas special. She was a 3 year old little sweetie pie that was very well mannered and I held up a tree that was marked $60 and asked her if she liked it. She did but G.P, said he couldn't afford that so I asked him if he had 10 bucks in is pocket and yes he did so we had a deal. No real point to this but once in awhile just running across a fellow human being is nice. Especially on Christmas eve. Merry Christmas to you and yours.

You my friend are a prime example of the true meaning of Xmas. A very kind and good act like that will no doubt come back in the form of good karma. Enjoy your holidays and sleep well tonight.

Their is no way to describe what you did for that man and his granddaughter. It goes to show that there are good honest people on both sides of the spectrum. You the seller and him the buyer.

Yes, contrary to what you see in the news (all the bad chit), there is mostly good people out there. The problem seems to be the media thinks the good stories won't sell as well and make them as much money. They think they need to report the most dramatic, even if it isn't that dramatic they will make it that way! LOL

This story was good to hear Butcher. Thanks man.

Same here. There is so little sense of connection or love out in the world. Most people are out for themselves. They are angry and have little patience. Their behavior brought me down as a person. Yes, there are good people out there but you have to sift through the crabs to find them. (Unlike here where there is a smorgasbord of good hearted people.)

Thanks Butcher. I believe I'd have done the same as would most of those on this forum.

Butcher as your tale shows, you're a heck of nice guy (don't worry I won't tell anyone). Always enjoy your stories and take on things.
