My 10 yr old girl passed today...

    My 10 yr old boxer named Layla passed on today. It was one of the hardest decisions my wife and I have ever had to make.
    She had cancer and dimensia and today was the no more pain and suffering day.
    As some of you know, I left the gtg early for this 72 lb bundle of joy, I'm glad I did it. I was able to spend more quality time with her and I'm so happy for that.

    Macey does not approve but she bets you will get another boxer because once you have one you won't want any other type of dog. Hey look wood racks against the fence!

    Sorry to hear about your girl. All dogs go to heaven. I have had to make that tough decision to put down a best friend. Its not easy but, you did what had to be done.

    Dang..... Darrin, we all surely know how much you and Mrs. Darrin loved your Layla, because you literally spent more time on the road than at the GTG... and your dedication to your pup and supporting your wife like that is so highly commendable, I simply can't do anything more than say sorry for your loss. Meeting you was a highlight of the whole trip, and given the circumstances I'm thankful for even the short time you were present...

    So sorry to hear you have lost you dear fur friend. I had two boxes as a kid. Cancer took one of them. Boxers seem to be very susceptible to cancer. A boxer is a very loyal and protective friend.

    Sorry for your loss. I dread the day that I will have to do the same thing. Our lab is 13 and some days are better than others for him. When the bad days are more than the good days I'll have to be as strong as you were. Prayers up.
