Where can I get one of these without breaking the bank? Mine locked up,so I took it apart and cleaned it up and oiled it. It spins freely now. It's not as quiet as I think it should be. It's a standard Mt Vernon not an AE.

Is this the one looking for?
I see why you are disgusted on the pricing, wow:picard:
Replace the bearings in the old one for a spare, might also be cheap route to try :smoke:

Well...there are two ways of going about this. Te easiest is to order this Jakel motor:

JAKEL INC J238-150-1571 DRAFT INDUCER MOTOR KIT 115 VOLT 3300 RPM

Once you receive it you'll have to swap the 4 post motor base off of yours and install it on the new one. The new motor is on the right with the 4 post base already swapped

The other is to buy a 1.8 amp Gleason Avery Harman combustion blower motor and use that BUT since it only a 3 post mount you'll need to drill two holes as it obviously won't line up with the 4 post mount on the mounting plate. You can reuse the one threaded post on the mount plate but need to drill the two holes and add two 8-32" screws and nuts

BTW...don't forget to order a new 5" impeller (actual size is 5.75" I believe) right away!!! Might be difficult to get the old one off

Also for an FYI down the road, you can use the Fasco A120 blower to replace your convection fan. Now the A120 is a two speed motor, it's similar to the one in the CB 1200 stoves. So when you go to hook it up you're using the "high" side wires on the hook up which is the black wire. You will only be using the black and white wires. They run at the same 3000 rpm at full tilt

No pic, but the blue "Jakel Inc" is the link that seems to work.

Thanks for the info. That's so much better. Probably should replace the impeller/fan too. Much easier then trying to get the old one off.

Well, you'll need to get the old impeller off to use the backing plate for the new motor but if you've never had it off before, chances are you'll probaly need to cut it off or something.
