So... This is the first saw I have ever bought. Wife asked nicely why I needed so many saws and if I could move some. So this is the deal. Make me an offer? I know some are looking for an affordable saw. Please don't buy it just to flip it. I'm listing it here to help someone in need. I'll send it on my dime. If you are happy send funds plus shipping if not send it back on your dime. image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg will be sent with 20" bar as shown and 5 chains. She has not been molested (no muffler mod)
    Thanks,

I'd hide it if it was me. I think I'm a hoarder though.

Awesome!! WaddleRemodel is the sort of guy that makes FHC the best little community around!

I think FHC member Kimberly was looking for a good firewood saw.

    Good luck!

Yes, I may be. I have sent the link to my friend because he has an idea what I need. Hopefully he will get back to me tomorrow. I don't know anything about saws so I don't know what to offer. My friend should be in touch with me tomorrow.

Bought this saw in 2008 to remove some trees from a building lot. I can honestly say I have cut roughly 10-15 cords with it. With some of the other saws I have it just won't be used and will become a shelf queen.

Dude, that deal is so sweet I'm getting a toothache!
That's a fine saw and will cut 99 percent of a firewood hoarder's needs, and do it handily.
You're a good noodle for offering this up, and things like this are infectious and won't be forgotten.

This is a good saw and worth every penny he is likely asking. Although I don't know his actual price? I doubt it's 90% of new price that most people on CL want.

I wish I would have seen your PM before I sold that Poulan of mine. That saw was almost exactly the same size as this saw (bar and engine).

Good on you Waddel!! This is the stuff that makes our members unique! :)

I'd like to see Kimberly benefit from this offer. I'll pledge $25 towards the sale price, on her behalf. Let's set a precedent here, folks.
    Seriously, I'm being serious!

Kimberly , I'm not sure exactly what Poulan you had but the Ms290 is a lot more saw. Not trying to scare you off but be aware that it will be noticeably heavier and 3x the power. Any Stihl dealer will have one if you want to handle it and see what you think, but it will cut like a light saber compared to the lil Poulan. I upgraded from a Poulan Wildthing to a 290 a few years ago, no comparison-night and day difference :saw:. Corolla vs Corvette.

I will go $25 as well.

That's $75 on top of what your budget allows.

    Any other takers?

Thanks for being vigilant on this point, fox9988, I hadn't considered the important variable of weight/ power. But I'm glad you're on board with a pledge!

If Kimberly doesn't think the 290 would suit her, my $25 stands for any saw on the FHC classifieds that she likes.

I'd love to help out too, but I gotta save every penny right now to pay for my dog's surgery. But I think I'll be sending Eric VW a bottle of my homemade maple syrup for his infectious generosity! Good on you buddy! PM me your address! :handshake:
