starting to look like something! Fabing up the hitch tonight! I think I am going to change the design and make it a slide in reciever hitch so I can use it for other things too.
Pete, you think that mounting plate is strong enough? Maybe tack on a piece of angle underneath. I guess it depends what you plan to tow. Gooder idea to put the ball up high, that should help with clearance when turning.
It's going to have angle supports to the back and a solid bar wrapping around the sides for support the plate won't be doing much at that point. I am not done mocking it up yet I got lazy..
Weren't you supposed to be building a car hauler? I'm pretty sure I've seen the design your going for. I like the new idea better though. Having a drawbar is easy to switch between vehicles!
I am welding it on the table the vent tube is right where the hitch sets I could see a boom in the future with that...
That little guy already pops wheelies! Good little mower all I need to do know is figure out how to adjust the forward creep on it.
My new to me ariens GT 17 does the creep too. The foot brakes don't work though at the moment. Annoying, but I'll get that sorted.
Yeah, there's a way to adjust it in the manual. The hydro selector stick / linkGe just needs to be adjusted
Mower hitch continues. This is taking forever There will be two more supports going to another section of angle bolted to the tractor up under the seat too. They will be welded off the receiver sides possibly. I hadn't really thought that far ahead yet. On the bright side flux still looks terrible but it's strong!!!
Is that a 165, 175, or a 185? I'm assuming you want to tie the top of it to the mower frame somehow too.
Yes I'm mocking it up right now. I'm just not to sure how or what I'll use for the side supports yet. It's being put together out of my scrap pile so I am digging and cutting until I like what I see.
Ugly welds but it's together! Seriously thinking about running frame mounts down the side to the frame and bolting it on under the seat too. Way overkill for a 185 Hydro
It's more challenging making something from nothing than fresh steel. I make a ton of useful stuff of rusty metal! Kudos!
Yes indeed it is! I keep a lot of angle, square and flat scrap so I can make random stuff like this This project is entertaining to me just because of what it is rediculasly Overkill.
