Oh, well you should get one sometime. The light bar makes a difference, especially when you are cutting for hrs.

I didn’t either, went with a 28 standard. It is still so much lighter than it looks!

Never leave home with out at least 4 saws lol. 12 is better, but the tool boxes won't hold em all.

Whats the weight difference between a regular and light weight bar of the same length? Say 28" for example.

I think it was you AC that mentioned how you'll switch to another saw when one runs out of gas to let it cool down rather than gas up again and keep going. The 500i was going full throttle doing lots of noodling. The 036 is my newest and well the others wanted to come along and join the fun and who am i to say no! I used the 028 first yesterday and quite the difference going from that to the 036.

I don’t know the numbers. I can tell you for sure a 36” light bar feels unreal compared to a standard. I have a 25” light bar on my 462 and the combo is light. I have a 28” Tsumura light and it doesn’t feel a great deal lighter than a standard bar. There are YouTube videos of people weighing bars, but you have to feel it to believe it. It would definitely compliment the 500.

Maybe save some chips/noodles to make fire starters to offer as an up sell to your bundles?

At first i was going to sell that 22" bar, but really have grown to like it. Its the perfect size for noodling my standard 16" length rounds and perfect all around bar for the .375 saws. I dont think ive used the .375 20" bar since.

I didn’t even know it was an oddball when I bought it. Or when I sold it for that matter. Never really looked into Stihl bar sizes. Not sure if you remember but the two chains that came with it were originally square filed (Oregon I think). Came in boxes,,,,,,,I think Baileys may sell chains like that.
I didn’t even realize they were square filed until I tossed one on the grinder and had already began grinding. Bad eyesight and never expected it :) At that point there was no reason to stop. On the second one I figured why have one square filed chain.

there’s an O-15 Stihl for sale on FB. You not jumping? :)

I like the aggressive grind you put on them. May start using Joe's saw sharpening service on my .375 chains. ;) The one 18" chain died a sad death on the 500i when it was thrown and bent.
No 015 for me. Im set on small saws although a 241 might entice me.
