Client is happy. He is sending photos outside his shop where he is going to stack and sticker the slabs.

Sorry not mine I was milling for a client. He is a project manager for a high end home builder and has been renovating a house and they took this tree down in the back yard and he had the tree guys leave it.

He has a 2500 square foot shop and does extensive custom work on the projects.

It probably would have gone in a tub grinder if he hadn’t had them leave it.

It got taken down last fall. No real spalting. Had some ambrosia beetle tracks and the burls. He asked for 8/4 slabs. The butt log yielded +/- 24" wide slabs and the second log 18" to 20".

The photos don't do it justice. They are really spectacular. I got 7 good slabs out of the butt log.

Asking price? The butt log slabs are about 12'. Kiln dried I could see someone asking a big number. Second log is 7'6"

I told him he should consider paying to put it in the IDry that someone has in town and he could have them ready to go in a couple weeks and they would warp and check less.
