    Those are beauts for sure!! Even the ones with the holes, been seeing some very creative solutions to counter them.

    People sure are getting very creative with them. I love milling Walnut. Beautiful wood and smells awesome.

    I worked in a sawmill when I was young. When we milled Black Walnut the owner would come out and oversee all the cuts, that’s how valuable it was!

    Either that, or it was the Christmas morning factor!! It’s one of those things, you just have to see it opened up. :binoculars:I’m kinda glad I don’t run a production sawmill cause I’d go broke: I’d end up keeping all the walnut for myself.

    Really like how you cut the log Brian72. Did you slice it all up yet? I’d really like to see the underside of the slab in the last pic. Looks like you’re getting into some nice crotch figure. :thumbs:

    I love milling Walnut. Like you said, always a surprise when you open it up. We didn't finish it yet. It's a customer's log (good for him, sucks for me). Not sure what he's planning to do with the rest. I'm certainly trying to push for slabbing the rest.
