Any of you here do this, I just recently bought a Garret AT pro and Bounty hunter Land ranger pro. Haven't used them a lot yet, did find a confederate forged mule shoe and a couple bullets.
I have an older White''s Surfmaster water machine. We used to search lakes and the ocean. I have a lot of good stories. I have some decent finds, nothing really great.
check city ordinances there are a lot of places where it is not allowed, around here anyway I found out. I do metal detect when scuba diving, nothing great yet
Some old finds. brass or copper rouge box and lipstick case. an old lock and two old bayer aspirin bottles.
Sometimes it's in the same hole as metal stuff. or close enough to where you can see it to pull it out.
An Old rimfire case of some odd caliber, vaccination dog tag from 1936, old cufflink and button, skate key. Rings, silver bracelet and 47 wheat pennies
I went out for just about an hour today around the barn. There are junk signals everywhere. I tuned out most ferrous signals and still dug a lot of junk up. This creepy little stash was next to a stone wall. My machine picked up the bell and cast bulldog. The ceramic pups were in the dirt. I hope it wasn't the prior families dog under it. Last is what looks to be a cast aluminum wagon step. Made by the Kar lin Co. I'll do some research on it and see what I can find.
Had a Whites that I bought with paper route money, around 36-37 yrs ago, but haven't owned one since. It's an enjoyable hobby, sometimes merely educational, sometimes profitable. Found a few Mercury dimes and silver quarters back when. Most of it all went into pizza/subs/and vid games/pinball back then. Good times.
