Just fired the grill/smoker, gonna do some 4hr racks of ribs I had to break out the big boy to get my Hickory ready, "Special" Thanks to Master Mechanic!!! Who fixed her up for me when she was down and I couldn't get to it! The Guy is super!
Look'en good! We aren't traveling this holiday. Going to have a lobster roll, steamers, corn on the cob, an watermelon. Not much cooking for any of that, but rid sure is good!
I am going to try pairing some mulberry wood with chicken legs and thighs after I get done tilling the garden. The old lady bundled up a bunch of mulberry branches when we took a tree down a few weeks ago.
ABTs. Then some salmon for dinner tonight followed by an overnight pork butt cook. All in the weber bullet.
Ok gang, half way through it. Just put beans on… Some ribs have homemade sauce, ones on the far left are just soaked with garlic and onion Holding a temp about 225*
We did a big batch of burgers and dogs over some hickory on the keyhole last night, gonna do a whole SLEW of chicken with vinegar/garlic spray over applewood tomorrow.......mmmmmm. Let's not forget why we celebrate this holiday everyone.....A lot of men and women died for our country. Those flags on the headstones at your local cemetery mean A LOT MORE than any of us can even imagine... God bless you all and have a safe Memorial Day weekend....
AMEN Scotty, Thanks for pointing that out! I was going to bring that up tomorrow, "WELL" said my friend
I cooked a grilled cheese over the fire pit last night. I was sitting by the fire and the thought/craving hit me. It was hella good.
It's already gone, but I did chicken breasts on the gas grill tonight. Nice big salad to go with. Perfect meal. I know.....couldn't have possibly happened. I'm pic-less on this. The rest of the pics look great.
Getting the smoker going this am and doing ribs and chicken, For breakfast had some Venison breakfast sausage and eggs
I remember back in 4th grade ( looooong time ago, and far, far away) having a Memorial service at the local Cemetery. I was tasked with reciting a poem. Don't remember the poem, but I do remember why we were there. God bless all service men and women (and families) who put their lives out there for the rest of us.
Cooking a 2" thick ribeye over the pit tonight. What kind of wood should I use? I don't cook a lot of beef....
I wouldnt mind a steak once in a while but its just too expensive! Even hamburg runs about $5/lb for the 93% meat blend. I spend about $125/month on groceries.
