We have a volunteer fire co. about 15 mins. from us. From Oct. to May..they have a meat raffle once a month. We go on occasion..so we went last evening. Reguardless of what or how many chances you purchase...you get a free meal. Broasted chicken, nice battered fish, cole slaw, scalloped potatoes n some good desserts plus soft drink fountain. You can get 2nds if you wish. We purchased 2 tickets (2#s on each ticket)....10 chances for 1/2 hog....10 chances for 1/2 a beef for 30 dollars. Wife spent 10.00 on pull tab tickets for meats. We ended up with 4 NY strips, 2 rolls of ring bologna,1 roll sweet bologna w/ 1/2# long horn, 4# loose sausage, 2# smoked sausage links, 2# of beef sticks, 3#s sausage links, 4# bottom roast,7#s boneless-skinless chicken breast, 3#s of puddin, 4#s of lean ground burger,2# italian sausage, 2#s of canned lump crab meat, 2#s of gulf schrimp (22-26 count). All the meats come from a great local butcher shop n its all vacuumed packed. I think we did ok....
