    Got a chance to fill the elk tag this morning. Different kind of gathering in the woodlot.
    Little tractor and two good Grandsons made the job a whole lot easier. Was hoping for a sunny day but gotta get ‘em when they show up. [​IMG][​IMG][​IMG][​IMG]

    May I ask what cartridge and loads you used? I am much the same. Years ago I hade a Remington Core-Lokt bullet failure and have reloaded exclusively for hunting and bench rest ever since.

    180 Nosler Accubond out of 300 Win Mag. H1000 powder.
    Recovered bullet against hide in neck on 120 yard quartering away shot. 111.9 Grains retained weight.
