Stihl MS 461 R.. Ported by Randy w/tri port muff... Video to come tomorrow.. Asking $1150 shipped (PHO) (Dual OEM spike kit is removed. But will be installed for sale) I was getting saw ready for Chelsea Iowa and the need for funds has come up. This is a non R model.
Oh man. I don't need it. But I want it. But I don't need it. But I want it. But I don't need it. But I want it.....
This saw is as new as they come without going straight to the dealer. Dex is basically throwing in a $300 port job for free!!! I'd watch this guy though, I've had some dealings with him and he can be a little misleading. The stuff I've bought has always shown up in MUCH better condition than what he told me, and extremely well packaged. Can't go wrong with this saw or seller.
Thanks for the kind words. I take it that 261 and 362 are treating you well? It being an R model, means it cost more than the standard 461 I posted above. With the extras on this saw, it's well over $1,550 (460 coil, port job, dual port/tri port muff).
All is very well. Another saw is on the horizon. And this is the one that is gonna go. The 460 and 461 are literally neck and neck. The 460 was my 1st new Stihl and bought by my wife. So it has much more value to me. That saw will likely never be sold.
If I hadn't just bought a minty stock 460, I'd be all over this. Where did you find those bumper un-spikes? I think I need a set of those for the 660 - the standard spikes are too large and must be removed when I want to mount up my granberg mill. GLWS Dex!
I made several of them out of the small OEM spikes. Made specifically for GTG's so the dawgs don't bite and cause the saw to chatter in the cut
Should a man go into debt just to by this sweet saw of yours DexterDay? Nah, probly shouldn't... But it's tempting. Got possible repairs comin up on the truck, so I should hold off. Dang- I want it! It is a beauty tho, man!
I forgot to add that this dude (the op) also prices his stuff WAY LOWER than it's actually worth. If he were a used car salesman, he'd be destitute. I'll tell you what, when Dex puts a saw on the choppin' block, a whole group of clowns re-think their finances and lie to themselves all while marriages hang in the balance. I'm just hanging out to see who breaks down first
